Derek Baine
Derek Baine has been with SNL Kagan for over 13 years. He manages the firm's Entertainment and Programming Practice. Mr. Baine closely follows trends in cable networks, film, television and video and specializes in setting up tax-driven movie and TV deals, business plans for cable networks and start-ups, as well as valuations of TV and film libraries. His book credits include authorship of Economics of Basic Cable Networks, Virtual Cable Networks, Cable Network Start-Up Strategies & Business Models and more. Robin Flynn
Robin Flynn manages SNL Kagan’s Cable TV and Broadcast divisions. Ms. Flynn has been analyzing and valuing companies and assets in the multichannel and radio/TV station fields for 19 years, since joining SNL Kagan in 1988.  Her team of dedicated analysts and researchers monitor the cable television, broadcast television, radio and satellite sectors. With her guidance they produce a number of SNL Kagan newsletters (Broadcast Investor: Deals & Finance, Cable TV Investor: Deals & Finance and Media Money), reports (Cable MSO Ownership Maps Portfolio and Telco TV Outlook) and books including Broadband Cable Financial Databook, TV Station Deals & Finance and Radio Financial Databook. She is called upon regularly to provide independent fair-market-value appraisals, as well as testimony and exhibits in matters of litigation. Sharon Armbrust
Sharon Armbrust joined SNL Kagan in 1979 serving as senior analyst across multiple media and telecom sectors, authoring a number of SNL Kagan books covering investments in emerging technologies, as well as holding various management posts with the firm, including COO (2001-03). She has continued to be an essential cog of the SNL Kagan Consulting Services Team providing the firm with a worldwide perspective after relocating to Europe in 2003. Today, Ms. Armbrust is SNL Kagan's senior consultant specializing in wired/wireless telecommunications and cable TV practices across with a focus on investments in technology and provides appraisals, business plans and legal testimony for SNL Kagan's wireless, tower and cable TV clients. She also writes for the online Analysis & Commentary service Wireless Investor and contributes to SNL Kagan's wireless offering. Joining the firm in 1996, Deana Myers is a Senior Analyst at SNL Kagan focusing on the television market. She specializes in film and TV library valuations, profit participation analysis, industry white papers, and network business plans. Her publishing credits include Economics of TV Programming and Syndication, Media Trends, The Economics of Hispanic TV and Radio in the U.S., and the Economics of Networks analysis and commentary service, as well as several monthly newsletters, like Cable Program Investor and VOD & ITV Investor. Ian Olgeirson
Ian Olgeirson is SNL Kagan's lead cable analyst tracking voice, video, data and other advanced broadband services. Mr. Olgeirson leads consulting projects vetting the current and future technological capabilities of cable infrastructures in North America. He is a prolific contributor to SNL Kagan books and reports providing forecasts and direction for investment, deployment and marketing of digital video, on-demand, high-speed data, DVRs, HDTV, and IP telephony services. Most recently, he has authored SNL Kagan’s Telco TV Outlook and Video on Demand, a Strategic and Economic Analysis. Mr. Olgeirson is a regular contributor to SNL Kagan newsletters, including Broadband Technology, VOD & ITV Investor, and Cable TV Investor. Mr. Olgeirson's expertise has been quoted in publications such as The Wall Street Journal, USA Today and BusinessWeek, among others. Ben Reneker
Ben Reneker is a Senior Analyst at SNL Kagan, and heads up the company’s international media markets research team in addition to following emerging media technologies, digital rights management and mobile entertainment. He is the lead analyst on SNL Kagan’s Global Multichannel Markets, European Multichannel Markets, Global High Definition Television Trends, Latin American Multichannel Markets and data service. Mr. Reneker also serves as a consultant for SNL Kagan Media Appraisals specializing in global pay-TV markets, IP-VOD systems and new media business models.

Prior to joining the company in February 2002, Mr. Reneker operated as an independent new media and mobile device consultant while serving as founder and president of ReelMind, Inc. a streaming media affinity portal targeting independent filmmakers and animators. Mr. Reneker holds a BA from The Colorado College and an MSc degree awarded with distinction from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
